Certificates of Deposits (CD's)

A Certificate of Deposit, or CD, is a non-negotiable instrument representing funds which the customer agrees to deposit in the bank for a specific amount of time. The interest rate paid on these funds depends on the amount and the term of the deposit. We have tiered rates - the larger the investment, the higher the interest rate.

  • Terms of CD's range from 91 days to 5 years

  • Minimum balances range from $500 to $1000 which vary with the term of the CD

  • Interest Rates are guaranteed for the term of the investment

  • Interest may be credited to an account, paid by check or compounded, depending on the term of the certificate

Another benefit of investing in FNBB Certificate of Deposit is the security of FDIC insurance. See details at  http://www.fdic.gov/deposit/deposits/insured/index.html.
