1st Net Connection Security
At the data security level, a number of industry recognized
technical advisors assisted in the development of the Internet
Banking platform, including representatives from ICSA.net,
iDEFENSE, and Check Point Software.
The secure network infrastructure includes the following
components:
-
Firewalls - All access
to the application network passes through these CheckPoint 1
firewalls.
-
Intrusion Detection -
The production network is monitored and policed for intrusion
attempts 7 days per week, 24 hours per day by network and
security personnel.
-
Sanitized Systems - The
servers hosting the services run only the minimum set of
services required to operate the application.
-
Private Network - for
trusted source connectivity.
-
Audits and Inspections
- The security infrastructure is regularly audited and
inspected by the following firms:
- Deloitte & Touche - SAS70
Service Audit Review
- ICSA.net - TruSecure
certified internal and Internet perimeter network security
- IDEFENSE - Intelligence
driven Internet applications and data security
- FFIEC - Federal compliance
examination
- Fiserv Internal Audit - Data
and network security
An additional measure of security
our Data Processor has put in place is the use of Private IP
Addressing. This protects servers from inappropriate Internet
access and restricts unauthorized visibility of internal
components. If an unauthorized user were to follow your request
from Internet Banking through to the host, that user would not
be able to get back out or follow it back with any host
information due to the Private IP Address assigned to the
Internet Banking site.
